For sale is a complete 50-volume Harvard Classics set (Dr. Eliot edition), First Edition 1909–1910.
This is the classic green cloth binding edition with gold spine lettering.
No Lectures volume, as it did not exist at the time of this first edition printing. (It came later in 1914.)
Condition:
Complete 50 volume set.
All volumes structurally tight and solid (with the only exception being vol. 50 with a slight loose binding). See photos.
Clean interiors throughout--
Only ONE volume (vol #4) contains writing--see photos-- (all others are unmarked).
Slight, even fading to spines consistent with age.
No water damage, no loose bindings (other than the one volume mentioned above), no musty odor.
Overall, this is a very well-preserved, attractive set — excellent for display, reading, or as a foundational home library.
These sets are becoming harder to find in complete, clean condition.
