Car is in pretty good overall shape and could still be used for a long time. After all, it is a Toyota!
It runs, is very clean, and is in really good shape for its age. The transmission was rebuilt a couple years ago, so you don’t have to worry about that. It was also repainted a few years back.
But like any older car, it does has a little bit of repair work it needs. The main issue is it makes a loud rattle when starting or idling - has been diagnosed as needing new engine/transmission mounts. But again it does run normally - just makes a noise.
There is also a missing wheel stud on one of the wheels that should be fixed. And the trunk latch doesn’t work - I just keep it closed with a strip of white duct tape. Might be easy to fix, not sure.
Other than that I’ve owned it for around the last 10 years and have taken good care of it. - regular upkeep and oil changes. The last time I took it to a mechanic he told me it still has a lot of life in it!
