Please note this is an authentic and very unique hand knotted rug from Turkey, and not the Chinese or the Pakistani reproduction.
Truly a masterpiece with magnificent color combination and excellent workmanship.
Quality: Approximately 900 (30X30) Knots Per Square Inch (KPSI)
To create a 900 KPSI silk rug in this quality and size, it would take approximately 1,600 hours (200 days, just for tying knots and not including the time it takes to set up the loom, color the silk , create the design,....).
Size: 2'.6" X 4'.0" (30" X 48" Inches, pile to pile and not including the length of the fringe or the flat weave).
Material: 100% pure silk (pile and foundation).
Condition: this rug has been displayed as a wall hanging all of its life; hence the rug still looks and feels new. Soft as the day it was first made. No repairs, holes, dry rot, stains, and well maintained in a smoke, pet, kid-free household.
