The ideal candidate for the Firm's Associate Attorney position shall have three or more years of 1st chair litigation experience in Family Law in Georgia. Experience in Criminal Law is a plus. Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong research skills, and thorough trial/mediation preparation skills. All candidates must demonstrate a very strong work ethic and the ability to multitask and prioritize case tasks. Qualified candidates must be able to communicate exceptionally well with clients and staff. Candidates must demonstrate excellent writing and speaking skills, be a team player, and possess a strong ability to critically analyze cases and develop high quality case strategies. Candidates must be strategic thinkers and demonstrate competent execution/use of the Georgia Civil Practice Act and Superior Court Rules.
Specific skills shall include experience and aptitude in all family law issues, such as child custody, child support, equitable division, alimony, legitimation/paternity, grandparent’s rights, adoption, drafting pre and post marital agreements, modifications, and orders of protection.
Candidates must submit a writing sample, a current resume, demonstrate good standing with the Georgia Bar Association, and be sworn into the Georgia State Courts. Applications without these requirements will not be considered.
