The Gibson catalog describes their J-200 model as “King of the Flat Top Guitars”. This is timeless instrument that exudes charm and character. This J-200 showcases its age with grace and is in overall very good condition. The saddle, nut and frets have been professionally replaced. The bridge plate was rebuilt, and the adjustable saddle replaced with a bone saddle (the original brass adjustable saddle is in the case). These changes breathed new life into this vintage beauty. These upgrades have improved the instrument's performance and tone while retaining its authentic essence. With its natural top finish and dark flame maple back and sides, this Gibson J-200 captivates both the eyes and ears. The action is low and easy to play. Strummed, it has a rich, resonant tone that is both loud and balanced, making it ideal for a variety of musical styles.
There is a small repair on lower side that has been professionally done by Carter’s Vintage Guitars, the place the previous owner, a Nashville singer-song writer & producer, purchased it. He also had all the mentioned changes done with receipts totaling $1,150 from Scale Model Guitars in Nashville. This guitar has an added LR Braggs Anthem System mic-based hybrid pickup and has been used in countless number of live performances and studio recordings. It also includes the original hard case.
