We are seeking a self-motivated, relationship-driven Sales & Business Development Representative to identify, qualify, and introduce prospective clients that align with our ideal client profile.
This is a 1099 independent contractor role paid per vetted, qualified lead that converts into an active client.
Role Overview
The Contract Sales & Business Development Representative is responsible for generating high-quality, pre-qualified leads through professional networking, referrals, outreach, and relationship-building efforts. This role is not transactional sales—it is focused on strategic introductions and opportunity creation.
You will be compensated for leads that meet qualification criteria and are accepted into our client onboarding process.
Compensation Structure
Paid per vetted lead that converts to an active client
Compensation issued after the client signs an engagement agreement and completes onboarding
No cap on earnings
No salary, hourly pay, or benefits (1099 role)

Key Responsibilities
Identify prospective clients that align with our ideal client profile (industry, size, complexity)
Initiate professional conversations and warm introductions
Submit vetted leads with required qualification details
Maintain professional representation of our brand and services
Collaborate with firm leadership to ensure alignment on client fit and expectations
Qualified Lead Criteria (High-Level)
A lead is considered qualified when it:
Fits our defined industry and revenue profile
Has an identified decision-maker
Has an expressed need for accounting, bookkeeping, or financial oversight services
Is willing to engage in a discovery conversation
Has the financial capacity to meet minimum service pricing
Final determination of lead qualification is at the sole discretion of the firm.
What This Role Is NOT
Not cold-call volume sales
Not closing contracts or negotiating pricing
Not administrative sales support
Not an employment role
This role is about opening doors, not managing the full sales cycle.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Proven relationship builder with strong professional networks
Experience in sales, business development, consulting, or professional services
Comfortable engaging with executives, founders, and nonprofit leadership
Entrepreneurial mindset and self-directed work style
High integrity and professionalism
Understanding of accounting, finance, or professional services is a plus
Independent Contractor Status
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. You will:
Set your own schedule and methods
Use your own tools and resources
Not represent yourself as an employee or agent authorized to bind the firm
Be responsible for all taxes, insurance, and compliance related to independent contractor status
Confidentiality & Non-Solicitation
Contractor will be required to sign a confidentiality and non-solicitation agreement
Client and prospect information is confidential and may not be used outside of this engagement
