POSITION OVERVIEW: 

Lanier Parking Solution is seeking a Shuttle Maintenance Coordinator to monitor and determine the repairs and upkeep of the company’s vehicles in order to maintain a safe and reliable fleet of vehicles.  This position will coordinate, prioritize and schedule fleet repairs while monitoring and communicating work progress and status to the department managers.  In addition to, developing an effective Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program and a Service Work Order Program to effectively track all repairs, reduce cost and control downtime.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  •  High School Diploma, GED or certification
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to compile reports
  • Ability to listen and understand prioritized needs
  • Good problem solving skills
  • 3 to 5 years experience in vehicle repair and maintenance
  • Ability to understand mechanical terms associated with shuttle buses

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Operate commercial vehicles requiring normal coordination, including eye-hand and hand-foot
  • Enter and exit vehicle frequently throughout shift as well as sitting for extended periods of time
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed outdoors for extended periods of time. Employees are subject to environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold weather. Protection from weather conditions may be provided, but not necessarily from temperature changes.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

1.        Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all vehicles and equipment assigned to the shuttle departments

2.        Take vehicle to and from the repair shop

3.        Work closely with repair shop vendor

4.        Implements and monitors a preventative maintenance program to assure cost effective maintenance

5.        Plan and prepare for annual DOT Inspections

6.        Maintains a complete inventory system for all vehicles

7.        Maintain inventory of each vehicle, maintenance equipment, fuel, repair parts, supplies, etc.

8.        Monitors vehicle utilization and evaluation of equipment specifications.

9.        Enforces safety practices and procedures and ensures drivers receive appropriate safety training before operating vehicles

10.    Assists in the development of the Fleet Services budget to include a review of past year expenses

11.    Establish Work Order Program with designated repair shop
