Looking for an easy way to give your poultry clean water and food? Want something portable that can be easily cleaned and carried? I have for sale, 20 gallon poultry nipple waterer and feeder.
These are food grade barrels.
Each waterer comes with 8 horizontal nipples for keeping your flock supplied with fresh water. These barrels can hold 20 gallons of water, include side handles for picking up, a lid that seals tight, and a locking ring to secure the lid.
Each feeder comes with 4 feeder ports and covers for each port. These barrels can hold 20 gallons of food, include side handles for picking up, a lid that seals tight, and a locking ring to secure the lid.
Having a larger capacity waterer and feeder means you do not have to fill it as often as the smaller ones you typically see in the stores. I have included a picture of the barrels filed with 20 gallons of water.
Multiple chickens can use these at the same time. If you have a larger flock, you may want to consider purchasing more than one.
Please note:
1. Nipples are recommended for most chicks two weeks old and older.
2. The red color naturally attracts chickens.
3. Place the container so that the nipples are at neck level with your birds.
4. After placing the new waterer, remove all other water sources.
5. Tap on each of the nipples until water starts to form on it.
6. Continue tapping the nipples until one bird starts to drink from it. Chickens are vey curious and the others should follow. You may need to repeat this sequence every 30 minutes until they get the hang of it.
7. Some birds may require you to gently press their beak into nipple until it flows water.
8. May be used with other poultry and fowl such as guinea fowl, quail, peafowl, ducks, turkeys, etc.
