Pay Rate: $14.50 per hour
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract Duration: June 23, 2026 – August 20, 2026
Location: Jackson, GA 30233
Job Responsibilities
Assist Route Driver with residential and commercial waste/recycling collection.
Load and empty containers into collection trucks manually or mechanically.
Operate lifting and hoisting equipment when required.
Assist drivers with backing and maneuvering collection vehicles safely.
Report safety concerns, service issues, accidents, or property damage.
Communicate customer requests and route concerns to dispatch and management.
Follow all WM safety policies, OSHA regulations, and company procedures.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 70 lbs.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical exam, background check, and employment verification.
Preferred Qualifications
Interest in obtaining a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Previous labor, warehouse, landscaping, construction, or outdoor work experience is helpful but not required.
Work Environment
Outdoor work environment.
Frequent lifting, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
Exposure to weather, noise, dirt, dust, and odors.
Riding in GPS/video-monitored collection vehicles.
