I am looking for a great home for my pit/bully mix Brian. He's a beautiful dog and has been well taken care of. He's a big boy at 75lbs and has had all of his puppy shots. I love this dog and I wish I could keep him but I have to part with him as I will be moving to Mississippi next month to be with my girlfriend and her son does not do well with dogs.
Excuse the stuff on the floor in the pics as Brian likes to tear up stuffed animals lol. I buy them for him from Dollar Tree from time to time. He does love to play with toys and dog bones so make a note of that. He also likes to tear up cardboard boxes so if you want to keep him busy for a little while, you can just give him a box lol.
Brian is an active dog as he's still a puppy so he needs to be in a home where he can be just that. He loves to play with people and definitely loves to interact with other dogs. Therefore, he needs to be in a home with the following:
- IT IS PREFERRED THAT YOU HAVE AT LEAST ONE OTHER DOG ALREADY. HOWEVER, THIS IS NOT MANDATORY. Brian loves being around other dogs and this would make his transition from being around me daily to a new home much easier. He won't miss me if he has a new dog brother or sister lol. However, if you can keep him busy and give him a good home, then I'd love to talk to you.
- I PREFER THAT HE GOES TO AN OWNER WHO HAS A HOUSE. Brian needs exercise as he is a large agile dog. Therefore, a house would fit him better, especially if you have a front or back yard that he can run around in. However, if you plan to walk him often then a larger apartment or townhouse may work. Please be willing to provide pictures or videos of where you reside as I want to see the home that Brian is going to.
Brian is active for his size so if you have kids and they love dogs, then they'll love him. However, if you have a child that is a bit apprehensive when it comes to dogs, Brian may not be a fit as he is very strong and may frighten them when he jumps up. He is not an aggressive dog but he loves being around people and shows his happiness by sometimes jumping up on them. This is definitely something that you can train him to stop doing and I have been working on this with him but I haven't made the most progress.
Other than that, I lucked up on this amazing dog when he was a young puppy and now he can be your beautiful, strong dog for the rest of his life if you are interested in adopting him.
A rehoming fee will apply as I want to be sure you are serious about providing a great home for Brian. I am not in a rush to get rid of him so I will ensure that he goes to a great home.
WHEN YOU RESPOND, PLEASE TELL ME A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF AND THE TYPE OF RESIDENCE THAT YOU HAVE TO OFFER FOR BRIAN INSTEAD OF JUST REPLYING AND ASKING ME "HOW MUCH?"If you're interested in Brian or know someone who would be a great owner for him, reach out to me!
