I am the kind of worker that does not leave till the deadline is met. If that means staying late or weekends, so be it. I work well with others but need little to no supervision. I had a boss tell me that he did not have to tell me my job, I just came in and did it from day one.
I enjoy variety in my position. My family had a restaurant when I was in my teens and it was great catering parties and seeing the same people often. I got over any shyness that I had in dealing with the public. One of the things I like to do is to form relationships with Vendors, Clients and other employees. That way, if I need something, they work with me and visa versa. I have extensive Customer Service and Dispatching experience.
I value a job well done. I triple check my work to confirm accuracy. Family owned businesses tend to work harder than others. I definitely want to sell a product that I am proud of. I used to have a booth at a farmer’s market and enjoyed it because the product I sold was excellent. My husband and I were the top sellers of the whole company. We sold hydroponic lettuce.
I have all the skills needed and then some. I would enjoy learning about a new industry. I am smart, hard-working and a morning person.
I started out in Admin positions but took a lot of classes and taught myself accounting. It is satisfying to collect money, reconcile bank accounts and everything that a bookkeeper does. I like paying bills, either thru sending a check or on a bank website. I originally learned about QuickBooks Pro and then Enterprise. I also learned Peachtree but prefer QuickBooks. I know how to produce accurate reports and export them into Excel to work with them if needed. I know job costing and construction billing.
Skilled in Windows, Microsoft Office, QuickBooks Enterprise Contractor's Edition, Sage, Peachtree Accounting, ACT, Service Titan, ESC Dispatching, and related software. I traveled to another state to provide Sales training for others. Extensive A/P, A/R, supervisory, payroll, reports and proposal preparation and excellent customer service skills. Managed sales, city, and county property taxes. Prepared W-2s and 1099s. Liaison with CPA to prepare yearly taxes. Reconciled up to twenty bank accounts and credit cards a month. Excellent collection skills. I go outside the box to collect funds that are due while still maintaining professionalism and established relationships with customers. Worked on W/C and other audits as needed. I train small companies in QuickBooks, Peachtree Accounting and MS Office. I learn latest programs very quickly and like to prepare and use SOPs.
Some of my clients were Atlanta Cool Air HVAC, Tippens Handyman Services, KEF Media, Deljou Art Group and Bobby Taylor Commercial Painting.
